The route for the first ever Tour of Dubai has been announced.
The route for this four stage race was unveiled at a press conference in Dubai and will see the race, which will be shown live in seventy countries, start on Wednesday February 5 with a 10km time trial starting at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
The second stage also starts at the World Trade Centre and takes the riders on a tour of some of the most important sporting venues in Dubai on a 122km stage which finishes by the sea in the Palm Jumeirah archipelago resort.
Stage three is the longest stage of the race and this stage of 162kms which includes two climbs sees the race going out of the City and finishing in the desert at Hatta.
The Burj Al Arab and the Burj Khalifa are probably the two most iconic buildings in Dubai and both will be passed on the fourth and final stage which is 124kms long.
