Fredrik Kessiakoff of Astana won the Tour De Suisse Time Trial this afternoon.
Fabian Cancellera had been favourite for the stage and had set the fastest time of 46.40 for the 34.3km time trial in Gossau.
However, out of nowhere, Kessiakoff came home two seconds quicker and with no-one able to better his time, the Astana rider took an unexpected victory.
Third was Maxime Monfort of RadioShack-Nissan, with Jeremy Roy fourth and Robert Gesink fifth.
Rui Costa was eighth best and keeps his leaders jersey, some 50 seconds ahead of Roman Kreuziger going into tomorrow's eighth stage.
