Chris Froome needs to stay on his bike in Paris to win the 100th Tour De France after finishing third on Stage Twenty.
The penultimate stage of 125kms from Annecy to Annecy-Semnoz was won by Nairo Quintana, who took the White Jersey of the Young Rider when he got away on the final climb, with Joaquin Rodriquez and Chris Froome for company.
The Colombian seized his moment to attack after the Côte du Puget which Pierre Rolland of Europcar took ahead of a ground that contaiend Jens Voigt, Marcus Burghardt and Juan Antonio Flecha
Voigt went again with a 43 second lead with ten kilometres to go bit a kilometre and a half later, he was caught by the yellow jersey group.
Joaquin Rodriquez attacked with Quintana and Froome, who treid to attack inside the final kilometre. Quintana caught Froome and passed him to win in a time of 3.39.04.
Rodriquez came in eighteen seconds later and Froome eleven seconds after that as the Kenyan born tore more time into Contador and goes into tomorrow night's final stage with a lead over Quintana of 5.03
