Garmin Sharp's Nathan Haas has won the final race of the season - the Japan Cup.
The 151km race in Utsonomiya Forest Park was made up of ten laps around the park before a closing 14.1km lap.
Home riders were allowed to form the main break of the and they stayed away until the final lap when a group of ten riders which included Rory Sutherland, Michael Valgren, Manuele Boaro and Chris Juul of Tinkoff-Saxo.
Manuele Boaro made several attempts to get away but was prevented from doing so and the race finished in a bunch sprint which saw Nathan Haas of Garmin-Sharp beating Edvald Boasson-Hagen in his last race for Team Sky before he moves to MTN Qhubeka in a photo finish in a time of 4.06.48.
Vini Fantani's Grega Bole was third with Michael Valgren (Tinkoff-Saxo) in fourth and Julian Arredondo (Trek Factory Racing) fifth
Irishman Dan Martin of Garmin-Sharp finished 12th whilst Ben Swift of Team Sky was 40th of the sixty five finishers.
