Warwickshire County Cricket club had to field on the opening day of their final County Championship match of the season at Taunton, against Somerset.
Somerset won the toss and elected to bat and made thirty runs before Tom Abell was out for four, caught behind by Tim Ambrose off the bowling of Oliver Hannon-Dalby.
The home side had Marcus Trescothwick and Tom Cooper put on 68 runs before Cooper went for 43, bowled by Rikki Clarke.
The Warwickshire supporters saw Somerset then put on a partnership of 101 between Trescothwick and James Hildreth which was finally ended when Mark Adair had Trescothwick caught behind by Tim Ambrose for 87 from 148 balls and included fifteen fours.
Just before tea, Ambrose took his third catch of the day when he caught Allenby who had made 29 off the bowling of Keith Barker.
Somerset were 256/4 at tea but the rain came down shortly afterwards and play was halted.
When play resumed, Keith Barker had a second wicket, removing Peter Trego, caught by Freddie Coleman for 24 and Hildreth went on to complete his century from 150 balls.
Hildreth ended the day 118 not out with Somerset on 360-5.
