Omega Pharma Quick Step and World Time Trial Champion Tony Martin was too quick for the competition in the final time trial of the season.
Martin won the Chrono des Nations in Les Herbiers, France, which was held on a 48.5km circuit to the south of the town, which staged the finish of the first stage of Tour De France 2011 (picture below), about 40kms from Nantes.
The German (Pictured below) won in a time of 58.07, some 41 seconds faster than his team-mate Slyvain Chavanel. Taylor Phinney was third, a second behind Chavanel.
Chris Froome, finished in a time of 1:04:43 and was placed 17th.
