Cameron Meyer won the opening stage of the 2013 Tour De Suisse.
The opening stage of a race which attracted some very high calibre of riders, some of whom will be competing in the Tour De France and others who won't be, was an 8.1km indivdual time trial in Quinto.
Orica GreenEdge's Cameron Myer went down the ramp 49th of the 167 riders at 2.46pm local time and set a time of 9.40 which was not to be beaten despite the efforts of Nik Terpstra who finished second, ten seconds down on Myer and Heinrich Haussler who finished third.
Nicholas Roche was 44th, David Millar was 111th, Dan Martin was 117th, Luke Rowe was 123rd, Josh Edmondson was 126th, Jonathan Tiernan-Locke was 141st and Ben Swift was 161st.
