Team Garmin-Sharp rider David Millar has been confirmed as having a place in the Team GB London 2012 Olympic cycling team.
Millar, who is wanted by Mark Cavendish as one of the five riders who will compete in the Mens Road race, was banned for two years after confessing that he had used the blood booster erythropoietin (EPO) and had therefore been ineligible for the Olympics.
However, a decision by CAS in April to over-turn the British Olympic Association's decision to bar anyone who has been banned for drug use from representing Britain at an Olympics has meant that he can now be included and today, the BOA confirmed that the Scot, who is preparing for Stage Four of the Tour De France can compete in the forthcoming Olympic games.
The five man team is Mark Cavendish, Bradley Wiggins, Ian Stannard, Chris Froome and David Millar.
