Italian Moreno Moser won the opening stage of the 69th Tour Of Poland this afternoon.
In a race brought forward to appease the organisers of the London Olympics, Moser won the stage when a five man break was finally caught and a group of thirty riders split from the peloton to contest the finish at the end of a 179.5km stage from Golebiewski Karpacz to Jelenia Góra.
Moser won in a time of 4.32.53 and beat the likes of Lars Boom in a strong field,
Britain's Ben Swift was 50th with Alex Dowsett 110th.
