Following the positive experience of last season, the European Cycling Union has signed an important agreement with the Russian company ITERA (http://itera.ru/en/) that will be the official partner of the continental federation in 2014 as well.
Through the support of ITERA and its President, Igor Makarov, in 2013 the UEC Solidarity Commission was able to implement 24 projects for the development of cycling in Europe, mostly aiming to support the youth activity by providing bicycles, equipment and grants to further this sport.
“Itera’s presence by our side – the UEC President, David Lappartient, says – is certainly an added value that gives greater prestige to the European cycling movement. Let me thank Igor Makarov because he has believed in and supported our projects. His trust is prompting us further to work for the new cycling movement of tomorrow.”
