Most of the riders made the cut off time on the ninth stage of the 100th Tour De France.
Race Commissioners had decreed that anyone falling out of the 13% of stage winner Dan Martin's time of 4hrs 30 minutes would be disqualified.
There had been concerns on a very difficult stage with five climbs, four of which were category one, that a number of riders including Team Sky's Richie Porte who finished 18 minutes down, might not make the cut.
Whilst the likes of Omega Pharma Quick Step's Mark Cavendish got in safely, Team Sky's Vasil Kiryienka was one who finished outside the allotted time and will not be eligible to start stage ten on Tuesday.
