James Pease who stood in for the unavailable Coventry Blaze coach Chuck Weber felt his side's 4-0 defeat at Fife Flyers came on a difficult night.
Pease told the Blaze website: Pease said: "It was a difficult night for us and it did not work out the way we wanted it to. It is a tough place to play and when you don't play your game you are not going to be successful.
"We talked about getting off to a good start but we did the complete opposite. It gave them the momentum and it put us on the back foot.
"We did not stick to the game-plan and we were turning over pucks. They are a good team and they counter well. We left ourselves a little exposed.
"I thought the line of Chamberlain, Hook and Griffin was excellent. They did what we needed them to do, they gave us some minutes and put Fife under pressure. They brought us a lot of energy and speed.
"Stewie is OK and he will be fine for Wednesday against Nottingham. He came off as a precaution and Marrzy did a good job in his home rink."
