Cannondale-Garmin's Ramunas Navardauskas has won the Circuit Cycliste Sarthe - Pays de la Loire race in France.
Tinkoff Saxo Manuel Boaro led going into the the final 178.5m stage from Abbaye De L'Epau to Le Lude but it was Pieter Jacobs of Topsport and Sergehi Tvetcov of Androni who were up the road with a lead of 2.30 going into the final one hundred kilometres.
Etienne Van Empel of Team Roompot was able to join them with seventy four kilometres lead and the trio were able to extend their lead to 2.35 before they started on six laps of an 8.5km circuit around Le Lude.
Cannondale hunted the trio down and they were caught with 33kms left, allowing Cannondale's Rasmanus Navardaudkas to take the sprint points and move up to second in the general classification.
Jay McCarthy, who was in the Young Riders jersey and Anthony Roux were disqualified for fighting with McCarthy later apologising before Navardauskas won the the final intermediate sprint and became the race leader with 15kms to go.
Tiago Machado and Ramunas Navardauskas were in the lead going into the final kilometre but they were caught and Nacer Bouhanni of Cofidis took the stage win ahead of Tsatevich and Sam Dumoulin.
Ramunas Navardauskas of Cannondale-Garmin took the race victory thanks to getting the time bonuses and beats Manuel Boaro and Lampre's Adriano Malori.
