Team Sky's Australian Richie Porte won the Paris-Nice race.
A year after, Sir Bradley Wiggins had ridden to victory, his team mate Richie Porte took the victory with the fast time on the final 9.6km time trial up the Col d’Èze.
FDJ's Jeremy Roy set the time to beat amongst the early riders down the ramp before Quintana became the first man to post a sub twenty minute time when he finished in a time of 19.46.
That was only good enough for third as Andrew Talansky who had led the race early this week, finished in a time of 19.39 and became the leader as Porte, who was last down the ramp was still on the road.
Porte knew exactly what he had to do to win and duly obliged with a cracking ride and a finishing time of 19.16 to give the Australian the final stage victory and the race overall.
Talansky finished second on the day and second, some 55 seconds behind Porte. Jean Christope Peraud finished on the podium in third with Sylvain Chavanel taking the green jersey.
