Team Sky were beaten into the second place on the opening stage of the 38th Giro Del Trentino.
The opening stage was a 13.4km team trial from Riva Del Garda to Arco on pan flat roads and saw Team Sky whose team included Sir Bradley Wiggins, Phillip Deignan, Kanstantin Suitsou, Ian Boswell, Dario Cataldo and Salvatore Puccio finishing the course in 14.21.
That was four seconds behind Team Net App Endura who had British rider Scott Thwaites riding alongside David De La Cruz, Leopold Koenig and Tiago Machado. Their average speed of 56.289km/h was enough to give them the win.
Third was Cannondale led by Moreno Moser, fourth was Rusvelo and fifth was Lampre-Merida
