Arnaud Demare made it a double when he added victory in the second stage to the Four Days of Dunkirk to his win on the opening stage.
A 166km stage from Hazebrouck to Orchies saw Boucher, Engoulvent & Rickaert leading leading going into the final fifty three kilometres.
Their lead was down to ten seconds with forty kilometres remaining and after an attack by IAM Cycling's Sylvain Chavanel had caused small splits in the peloton, only Rickaert and Edwig Cammaerts were left to battle on.
Rickaert and Cammaerts kept going and were joined by Chavanel and then Senechel with seventeen kilometres left.
A group of ten riders including the race leader Arnaud Demare, joined the quartet on the front of the race.
With 8.6kms left, another large chase group joined the leaders, so Delfosse, Declercq and Ghyselink attacked, taking five seconds.
They were caught and after a crash, Cammaerts was back on the attack but was caught inside the final kilometre.
Arnaud Demare of FDJ went long and won in 4.01.09 ahead of Ahlstrand, Van Asbroeck, Weber, Jacobs, Ghyselink, Jakin, Delfosse, Tronet and Andersen.
With time bonuses factored in, Demare leads the race by sixteen seconds from Topsport's Tom Van Asbroeck.
