Radio Shack's Jesse Sergent won the Eneco Tour of the Benelux Countries time trial this afternoon.
A 14.7km course in Roermond on a grey day met the riders. For New Zealander Jesse Sergent, the course proved no problem and he was the early leader finishing the course in a time of 17 mins, 55.84, a time nobody could get near.
Geraint Thomas finished in a time of 18 mins and 43 seconds before the rain came down, slowing the later riders.
David Millar had been one of the favourites for this event but came in at 18 mins and 37 seconds which was enough to keep him third in the General Classificiation.
Team Sky's Edvald Boasson-Hagen was going for the leaders jersey came in at 18.28 and when the leader Philippe Gilbert came in at 18.44, the Norwegian was the new race leader.
Tomorrow's fifth stage starts and finishes in Genk and is 189.2km long.
