Coventry Storm beat Kings Lynn 50-43 in the first of a double header meeting at Brandon this afternoon.
The Storm had Rob Shuttleworth win the opening heat in a 5-1 and after Kings Lynn took a 4-2, the Storm hit back with another 5-1 thanks to Martin Knuckey getting past both of the visiting riders.
Kings Lynn won the next two heats 5-1 and 4-2 but the Storm still had a four point lead going into heat six which they won 5-1 with another win for Shuttleworth.
A 4-2 win for the Storm had them ten points clear so Kings Lynn gave Bailey a tactical ride and he won in a 6-3.
After a 3-3, Shuttleworth won in a 5-1 but Kings Lynn came back again with a 4-2. a 3-3 and a 5-1.
Heat fourteen finished in a 3-3 and there was drama after the last heat which Dan Greenwood won, when Bailey was disqualified for not having a back plate on his bike and the Storm took a 50-43 victory.
