COVENTRY Storm are on the road this weekend as they make the long trip to Eastbourne on Saturday (7.30pm).
The two sides met right at the start of the season when the Eagles notched a win at Brandon on Easter Monday, and they have since established themselves in the top four of the National League and are likely play-off qualifiers.
The Storm have won recent away matches at Buxton and King’s Lynn but Arlington remains one of the toughest venues to visit in any league.
New averages for September see the injured Dan Greenwood drop to third place, meaning the City Gearboxes Storm are unable to use a guest facility, and must revert to rider-replacement.
Mid-season signing Mitchell Davey, who scored a paid maximum guesting for Birmingham on Wednesday, takes over at No.1 whilst Jamie Halder replaces Conor Dwyer in the top five.
Boss Laurence Rogers said: “Hopefully the move to reserve will enable Conor to get some confidence back, and he’s capable of scoring plenty of points in the home matches we’ve got coming up.
“I don’t think moving up to No.2 will phase Jamie at all, he’s come back well from injury and he was superb at Rye House a couple of weeks ago.
“Mitchell has been a great signing for us but unfortunately with Dan third in the averages he can’t take a rider-replacement ride, it has to be Liam (Carr) and the riders below.”
