Coventry Storm won 47-43 at Kings Lynn on Wednesday night.
Manager Laurence Rogers said: “It was a really good team performance from the boys, and personally it’s always nice to come back to one of my old clubs and win!
“It took Mitchell two rides to get used to it but after that he was unbelievable, and Ellis did a great job for us again, he was a super guest.
“We had a bit of fortune along the way with Josh Bailey coming off when he was in second place, and Nathan Greaves coming down as well, but it’s probably about time after all that’s happened this year.
“It’s a good away run we have going, and really it would be nice if the season could start now and we could forget certain fixtures from earlier on!”
The Storm are back in action at Rye House on Saturday (2pm) with Perks again guesting for Greenwood, whilst Birmingham’s teenage sensation Jack Parkinson-Blackburn comes in for the unavailable Carr.
