Team Sky have announced their nine man team for the 2013 Tour De France 100 which starts in Corsica next Saturday.
The team will be led by 28 year old Kenyan born British rider Chris Froome, who has already chalked up wins in the Tour of Oman, Criterium International, Tour de Romandie and Criterium du Dauphine this year and is one of the favourites for the race.
Team Sky boss David Brailsford has given a Tour De France debut to Ian Stannard. The 2012 British Road Race Champion has proved again this year to be a strong domestique.
Also making his Tour De France debut is Peter Kennaugh. The Isle Of Man born rider is a 2012 Olympic Gold medalist.
The fourth British rider in the team is Geraint Thomas. The Welshman, is a former British Champion and has competed in the Tour De France with the exception of 2012 when he competed along with Kennaugh in the Great Britain Olympics team.
Also, playing valuable roles in the team will be Australian Richie Porte, Norway's Edvald Boasson-Hagen who has appeared for Team Sky in ever one of their Tour De France appearances so far, Belarusian Vasil Kiryienka, Spain's David López and Bulgarian, Kanstantsin Siutsou, who has four appearances in the Tour De France and was forced out of last year's race with a broken leg.
