Theo Bos of Belkin has won the Ronde van Zeeland Seaports race in Holland.
This 1.1 race on the European Tour was over 197kms with a finish in Goes.
Wanty Group's Michel Kreder, Ike Groen of Team De Rijke, Maurits Lammertink of Team Jo Piels and Brian Van Goethem of the Metec Continental team were in the first break of the day.
However, the wind and rain soon forced them back into the peloton and a new break of Parrinello, Vanbilsen, Kouwenhoven , Hamelink , van Haaren, Bakker plus Arno van der Zwet formed.
With fifty kilometres race, this group of seven were 2.15 ahead and then 2.40 after the peloton was held up at a railway crossing.
Team Belkin started to work and the gap started to fall, dropping to 1.30 by the time, the leaders reached Goes and started on three finishing circuits which made up the final forty kilometres.
Twenty kilometres later and only Parrinello, Kouwenhoven, Hamelink and Van Haaren were left up front but an attack from Sjoerd Kouwenhoven and Koga's Bart Van Haaren saw off the other two.
Antonio Parrinello of Androni and Kenneth Van Bilsen of Topsport, joined Kouwenhoven and Van Haaren in the lead for the final fifteen kilometres but five kilometres later, their time on the front was over.
Belkin had worked hard for the sprint and they got their rewards when Theo Bos went and took the victory ahead of Ramon Sinkeldman of Giant Shimano and Michel Van Staeyen of Topsport.
