The peloton were able to bring back the chasers but not the trio up front and on the Denderoordberg pavé, Manuel Quinziato attacked with Leukemans and Lampaert not able to follow him. as the sun came out.
Manuel Quinziato of BMC seized his chance and he rode away and won in 4.18.19 with Leukemans of Wanty Group Gobert in second and Lampaert of Etixx Quick Step in third place.
Greg Van Avermaet of BMC led home the peloton which contained Tim Wellans of Lotto Soudal and he took the overall victory with a margin of 59 seconds over Van Avermaet.
