There were four wickets each for Oliver Hannon-Dalby and Keith Barker as Warwickshire County Cricket Club bowled out Northamptonshire on the opening day of their County Championship match at Edgbaston.
Northants batted first and put on sixty three before Peters, who had made 35, was caught behind by Tim Ambrose.
That gave a wicket to Oliver Hannon-Dalby and the Halifax born player continued to take wickets along with Keith Barker.
Northants battled away with James Kettleborough making 71, Adam Rossington 44, Ben Duckett 55 and Andy Hall 43 but Warwicks had them all out for 273 in 77.3 overs.
Warwicks lost Ian Westwood for one but Varun Chopra and Will Porterfield steered Warwicks to 79-1 at stumps.
