Nuneaton batting in a 33 overs match which started at 2pm made 182 for 5 off 28 of their possible 33 overs leaving the home side needing 183 off 38. Ambleside fell short being 86 all out in 28 overs; by then Nuneaton knowing Bedworth had already won at home to Bablake and nothing less than a win would see them home as Champions. Bedworth and Ambleside made amazing effort to get the game on , Bedworth must have had every tarpauling in the county on their ground with ground staff and players working tirelessly get get a start by 3pm. Bedworth then smashed the ball around ; Ryan Parnell was out in the 4th over and had 50 and T20 style reached 200 in over 17. Bablake at 33 for 6 recovered to 81 all out. It turned out an effort in vain as Nuneaton beat Ambleside about 40 minutes later, the chairman thanking Ian Gilling and the Ambleside ground staff for getting a match played. The trophy was presented to Nuneaton shortly after the match by league Chairman, Mark Evans.
Water Orton despite a defeat on the day as Kenilworth made 154 for 3 to win top the table with Barby in second in Division 1.
Division 2 sees no change with no play of the day including at the match Wolvey versus Moseley Ashfield; therefore Wolvey’s slim hopes of getting to second place were thwarted and Mosley Ashfield return to the awards ceremony as runners up to Solihull Blossomfield.
Similarly in Division 3 and Division 4 with no play RMCC failed to catch champions Sheldon Marlbourgh in Division 3 whilst Attock 3rds and Olton and WW 2nds win and are runners up in Division 4.
