Warwickshire County Cricket Club beat Nottinghamshire by 53 runs on the final day of their County Championship game at Trent Bridge.
Notts resumed on 21-3 needing 227 to win but on a pitch which had seen sixteen wickets fall on the third day of play.
One man was not going to give his wicket away cheaply as the wickets started to tumble once more with Fletcher, Smith and Wessels all falling to Chris Woakes and Keith Barker who picked up a quick brace. That man was Samit Patel and he smashed 124 from 82 balls hitting 12 fours and eight sixes.
However, Taylor second-top scored with 26 and none of the rest of the team made it into double figures as four wickets from Barker, three from Wright, two from Patel and one from Chris Woakes, saw Warwicks bowl out Notts for 173 and take a 53 run victory.
