Tour De France 2012 winner Bradley Wiggins has said that the team are all there for Mark Cavendish to win gold for Great Britain in today's Olympic Mens Road Race.
Cavendish (pictured below) played very much a team role during the Tour De France, taking turns on the front to help keep the Team Sky train on the front of the peloton, fetching bidons of water rather than going for points in the Green Jersey competition.
But now, it is time to repay that hard work which helped the Kilburn Kid to become the first ever British winner of the Tour De France as Cavendish, Millar, Froome, Stannard and Wiggins go for gold in the Olympic mens road race.
According to Wiggins who told ITV4: "This is what Cav has been living for for most of the year.
"He's looking as fit as I've ever seen him on the bike and we're approaching the thing he's been thinking about since he won the world title.
"In our minds there's no doubt that he's going to be there in the final.
"He's been there for me the last month and now he can sense that it's his turn and we're all there for him."
