Coventry Blaze coach Chuck Weber has said that his side need to start chipping away against the better teams.
Speaking before the Blaze's game at Nottingham Panthers this afternoon, Weber told the Blaze website: "We will make some decisions to see if some of the guys can give us some minutes and help the team.
"Nottingham are a very skilled team so we will need to be sharper on our special teams and also stay out of the box because we cannot burn our energy killing penalties.
"We had a hard series with Cardiff and there is still a lot of stuff which is correctable. We need to clean up our puck management to give us a chance to win.
"We are in ninth place, it is a tough division to be in but we need to start chipping away against the better teams if we are to start moving forward and get into the play-offs.
"The guys are slowly getting healthy and hopefully come the week of January 5 we will have a full line-up and can work on moving in the right direction."
