Coventry Blaze coach Danny Stewart has said that his side were forty seconds short when they were beaten 3-2 at home by the Cardiff Devils in over-time on Sunday night.
Stewart told the Blaze website: "The performance was there, unfortunately we came just 40 seconds short and it would have put us into a good position.
"By no means are we accepting of that loss, it's demoralising that we lost and we've got to find a way to close that game out.
"But, for those guys to put in a good gutsy performance like that after 3 games in 3 nights, playing with energy and physicality,
"I have to give them credit but unfortunately we just came up a bit short."
