Weber: Our Powerplay Struggled

Coventry Blaze coach Chuck Weber felt his side's powerplay struggled during their 3-0 defeat at Braehead Clan on Saturday night.

Weber told the Blaze website: "It was a greasy road game. I really liked our game and we did not give up much.

"Our powerplay struggled and with the five-minute major and the penalty at the end we just ran out of time.

"[Chris] Holt played really well in our building and the 6-0 game we just did not turn up - it was the worst game we have played all year.

"We scored six on them at home but their goalie [Fullerton] tonight played well and made an unbelievable back-door save in the 18th minute of the third period.

"Their goaltending has been fantastic and [coach] Ryan [Finnerty] has done a really good job with their defensive structure. They are my pick to win it [the title]."
