Ian Westwood hit an unbeaten 155 for Warwickshire County Cricket Club on the opening day of their game with Durham MCC University at Edgbaston.
Warwicks batted first and had Varun Chopra out for eighteen, caught by Gibson off the bowling of MacDonnell with the score on thirty.
Westwood and Will Porterfield came together and put on 110 before the Irish international was bowled by Ratanayake after making fifty nine.
Laurie Evans came in and made 52 before he was trapped lbw by Phillips whilst at the other end, Westwood past the century mark and the 150 mark before he retired on 155 with Warwicks on 341.
Sam Hain had partnered Westwood well and was unbeaten on 89 with Tim Ambrose 32 not out as the rain came down and play was halted with Warwicks on 414-4.
