2012 Tour De France winner Bradley Wiggins is not expecting to defend his title.
Wiggins, speaking on Wednesday, said that his main goal was going to be the Giro D'Italia and he would support Chris Froome in his bid to win a second Tour De France for Team Sky.
Wiggins is quoted as saying: "It was always about winning one Tour and then deal with what comes next. "It’s more than likely I’ll ride in a supporting role for Chris. I just want to be in a successful team."
Wiggins like many riders is furious that Lance Armstrong has dragged down the sport of cycling with the latest doping revelations and bans.
Wiggins commented: "There is a lot of anger from most people within the sport, it is a sport I’ve always loved.
"It is a shame cycling is being dragged through this again really, not a shame that he has been caught –when you get older you start to realise Father Christmas doesn’t exist and it is the same with Lance.
"Howewer, he is a stubborn man and I don’t think he is ever going to confess, he has too much to lose."
