Team Sky's Sir Bradley Wiggins has won the Tour Of Britain Time Trial.
Stage 8A saw the riders in London for an 8.8km time trial and was the firist time trial in London since 2011.
One hundred and seven riders went down the ramp at one then two minute intervals with Team GB rider Chris Lawless setting the time to beat of 11.17.
That time was quickly beaten as Bert De Backer of Giant Shimano and Ian Bibby were the first to post sub eleven minutes.
Ryan Mullen finished in 10.10 but BMC's Steve Cummings who had been one of the outside bets for this stage, broke the ten minute mark, finishing in 9.59 at an average speed of 52.804km/h.
Cummings was the fastest of the first sixty riders down the ramp beating the likes of Mark Cavendish who clocked a 10.18.
Zabel, Doull, Leopold Konig and Ben Swift all put times that put them in the virtual overall lead of the race before Peters walked his bike across the finish line after damaging the front wheel out on the course.
The overall lead might have been changing but Cummings was still leading the stage with his time of 9.59 looking good.
That was until IAM Cycling'S Sylvain Chavanel finished a second quicker.
There was a big roar as Sir Bradley Wiggins went down the ramp. Wiggins, the current British Time Trial champion shot off and was fastest by two seconds at the half way point.
With Alex Dowsett, finishing in 10.10, Wiggins flew home to finish in 9.50 at an average speed of 53.630 km/h.
Nicholas Roche of Tinkoff Saxo finished in 10.22 but a 10.06 from Michael Kwiatkowski was enough to put the Pole from the Omega Pharma Quick Step back into the leaders yellow jersey.
Last man on the road was Dylan Van Baarle who had taken over the leader's jersey on Stage seven in Brighton and finished in 10.06 to keep his lead in the race and give Sir Bradley Wiggins the stage win.
