Chris Woakes, Keith Barker and Jon Trott rescued Warwickshire County Cricket Club on the opening day of their County Championship game against Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge.
Warwicks lost Varun Chopra, Ian Westwood, Laurie Evans and Sam Hain to be in trouble at 17-4.
However, Jon Trott came in and after Tim Ambrose departed, Trott went for 68 from 114 balls.
Ricky Clarke added nine but Chris Woakes and Keith Barker were in great form.
Woakes hit 19 fours in an innings of 121 from 187 balls and in a partnership of 167 with Keith Barker who completed his century before being caught by Read after making 113 from 123 balls.
Warwicks ended the day on 372-9.
