Warwickshire County Cricket Club closed on 157-3 on the opening day of their County Championship game with Sussex at Edgbaston.
Warwicks won the toss and opted to bat. Varun Chopra and Will Porterfield put on 66 before Porterfield, who had made 43, was trapped lbw by Monty Panesar.
In the first over after lunch, Panesar took the wicket of Chopra (26) when he too was trapped lbw.
Ian Bell came in and hit ten fours in a knock of 57 before he was caught by Nash.
Jim Troughton (42 not out) and Darren Maddy were at the crease when the rain came down and play ended early.
