Adrian Malori is still in hospital in Argentina after crashing on the fifth stage of the Tour De San Luis.
The Movistar rider was riding at 65kmh when he hit a pot hole in the road and crashed, fracturing his right collarbone and seeing the Italian sustain a number of head injuries.
Malori was taken on a 500 mile journey on Monday from San Luis to the Fleni neurological clinic in Buenos Aires where "more more precise medical checks done on him, with techniques and instruments not available at the hospital in San Luis”.
He is now out of a medically induced come and has his wife and mother with him and was visited in San Luis by his team mate including the Tour De San Luis race winner Dayer Quintana.
