Shivarne Chanderpaul hit 167 not out as Warwickshire County Cricket Club took a first innings lead on the second day of their County Championship game at Yorkshire.
Things started badly when Varun Chopra scored the opening run of the innings and then was bowled by Patterson and four runs later, Ian Westwood, who had made, three was out was trapped lbw by Sidebottom.
Laurie Evans added thirty runs before he was caught by Brophy.
Chanderpaul and Troughton put on 68 for the fourth wicket which saw the Stratford born man out for 27 and the West Indian was joined by Tim Ambrose who hit 66 from 81 balls including ten fours.
Chanderpaul's century came from 156 balls and after Wainwright had Darren Maddy has his third victim, he needed only sixty more balls to past the 150 mark.
He finished the day on 167 not out as Warwicks closed on 340-6, sme 43 runs ahead.
