Dries De Bondt of the Verandas Willems Team has won the Halle Ingooigem race in Belgium
This 200.5km race which was made up of 104.7kms, then a loop of 25 km and then four laps of 17.7kms to finish off as well as seven times over the Tiegemberg started with Sam Crome and Connor McConvey in the break.
They were 2.25 ahead after 55kms before they were joined by Edward Theuns, Backaert, Clarke, Cordeel, Meurisse & Pons and then Nikolas Maes.
They were caught and a new group of Jelle Vanendert, Adams, Claeys, Clarke, De Bondt, Devolder, Keukeleire, Maes, Marchand and Theuns had a lead of 1.15 with seventy kilometres to go.
With three laps left, their lead was at two minutes but was back down to 1.10 with 25kms remaining and a minute with one 17.7kms lap left.
The break started to fracture and Dimi Claeys took over on the front in a six man break who were trying to stay clear for the final nine kilometres.
With three kilometres remaining, Dries De Bondt and Jens Keukeleire broke and were one hundred metres clear.
The duo battled it out and it was Dries De Bondt who won ahead of Keukeleire, followed by Theuns, Maes, J Vanendert, Claeys, Gaviria, Demare, Merlier and Dupont.
