Warwickshire County Cricket Club went down to an eight wicket defeat on the final day of their County Championship game against Durham at Chester Le Street.
Warwicks started the day on 52-4 and although Tim Ambrose made a splendid 51 from 82 balls including seven fours, they had no answer to Graham Onions and Scott Borthwick who took four wickets each.
Warwicks were all out for 137 leaving Durham a meagre 102 to win in over a session and a half of play.
Chris Woakes took the wicket of Smith thanks to a catch by Ian Westwood after the opener had made nine runs, but Borthwick and Graham Muchall kept the runs ticking over.
Muchall went after making thirty, caught by Troughton off the bowling of Paul Best but Borthwick who made 48 took Durham to an eight wicket victory.
