Eight Wicket Defeat For Warwicks

Warwickshire County Cricket Club recorded their third successive T20 defeat when they went down to an eight wicket defeat to Glamorgan.

Over three thousand packed into Rugby School, to see Warwicks bat first and lose three wickets in the first six overs.

Darren Maddy was the first to go for eleven, caught by Cooke off the bowling of Nick James. He was followed by Laurie Evans who had made two before he was trapped lbw by Hogan and two overs later by Ateq Javid who was run out for two.

Varun Chopra and Chris Woakes added 38 before Chopra was caught by James after making what turned out to be a top score of thirty.

With the score on 88, Woakes was the fifth player to lose his wicket when he was caught and bowled by Allenby after making 25.

Rikki Clarke added 21 before being run out and Stefan Piolet added twenty but at the end of their twenty overs, Warwicks could only muster 126-8.

Glamorgan put on 33 for the first wicket when Allenby was caught bt Chopra off the bowling of Chris Wright.

Mark Wallace smashed an unbeaten 69 from 52 balls and with Cooke adding nineteen before he was bowled by Woakes and Goodwin adding seventeen, Glamorgan cruised to victory.
