Coventry Rugby Club's next opponents Exeter have offered to pay the travelling costs of the troubled club so that Saturday's game in Exeter can take place.

Exeter's chief executive, Tony Rowe  said, "No-one wants to see Coventry struggle. We all hope they will be able to survive this latest incident."

Rowe continued, "This is also a very important fixture to Exeter Chiefs in the run-up to some crucial games in the coming months. We also did not want to let down the supporters who have already bought tickets for this game, so I am pleased to confirm this fixture will go ahead as planned on Saturday."

Coventry have been placed in administration when owner Andrew Green failed to find new investors for the ailing rugby club.
