There were centuries for Varun Chopa and Shev Chanderpaul as title seeking Warwickshire County Cricket Club got off to a good start on the opening day of their County Championship game with Hampshire.
Warwicks batted first at the Rose Bowl and although they lost Ian Westwood for six and Will Porterfield for 28, Chopra and Chanderpaul took control.
They came together with the score on 89-2 and both went on to make centuries before Chopra was bowled by Mascaranhas for 109.
Chanderpaul finished the day on 107 not out as Warwicks closed on 296-3 after 96 overs.
