An unbeaten 87 from Sam Hain got Warwickshire County Cricket Club on their way on the second day of their County Championship game against Northamptonshire at Wantage Road.
Warwicks only allowed the home side to only add fifteen more runs to their over-night total of 297-8 before skittling them out for 312 with Chris Wright taking the wickets of Stone and Rob Newton who had made 114.
Chopra and Porterfield put eighty one on for the first wicket, which came when Porterfield, who had made 33 was caught by James Middlebrook.
Chopra followed twelve runs later, some three short of a half century, to a ball from James Middlebrook who was now bowling.
Middlebrook to a second wicket when Laurie Evans went for six but Sam Hain and Jim Troughton came together and put on for the fourth wicket, which was a third for Middlebrook. coming when Troughton, who had made 69 was caught by Peters.
Hain was 87 not out at the close as Warwicks ended the day on 274-4, some thirty eight runs behind.
