The partnership between Coventry based firm Jaguar and Team Sky is over.
Since 2010, Team Sky had been provided with cars by the company which has a base in Whitley and a former one in Browns Lane.
The Jaguar cars which were provided for races such as the Tour De France, had a Coventry postcode on their registration plate and were maintained by Coventry based employees and the company was also involved in a number of projects aimed at making the bikes go faster.
Jaguar had worked with Pinarello on the Dogma bike that Chris Froome won the 2015 Tour De France on.
However, that partnership has come to an end with a Team Sky spokesperson told Cyclingnews: “We would like to thank Jaguar for their support, dedication and the collaborative approach which has resulted in huge innovations to cycling – not only across the range of race vehicles but also by adding their innovation and engineering expertise to the development of the ground-breaking Pinarello Dogma F8 and the Pinarello K8-S bikes.
"Team Sky will be announcing a new automotive partner for the 2016 season soon.”
That partnership is expected to be Ford.
