Victory on the final stage ensured that Marcel Kittel of Ettix Quick Step won the Tour Of Dubai
The final stage was a 137km stage which started at the international marine club and finished in the Business Bay area of Dubai.
Giacome Nizzolo with his second place yesterday, took over in the lead of a race with a two second lead over Lobato and Kittel which started without Berni Eisel who broke his collarbone crashing in the feedzone yesterday.
Six riders in Mark Christian, Rui Costa, Roy Curvers, Sebastian Lander, Jan Polanc and Daniel Teklehaimanot were in the break with a lead of 3.01 with 63.3kms to go.
At the intermediate sprint, former World Champion Rui Costa of Lampre took it, although it was not enough to knock enough One Pro Cycling's Marcin Bialoblocki from the sprint leader's jersey.
The final sprint was at the Union Flag and it was Costa who again took the three seconds, ahead of Curvers and Polanc as the gap dropped to 1.48.
With twenty kilometres to go, the gap was down to 46 seconds and nine kilometres later, it was all over.
Tinkoff were on the front before Etixx Quick Step started to control things on the front going into the final kilometre.
Trek went to the front as Cavendish and Viviani came forward and the sprint was on it was Marcel Kittel who took the win in 2.50.47 ahead of Elia Viviani and Mark Cavendish.and won the race overall by four seconds.
Kittel said:"Awesome, I am really happy and was dreaming about this moment. We came in a good moment and it was great to finish my first race for Etixx like this.
"We concentrated on the final sprint today and my confidence is 1000 times higher than it was a year ago and this is a base for the team."
