Daniel McLay has said that if his legs are good, he will have a good go at challenging Mark Cavendish, Kittel and Kristoff in the sprints.
Speaking to CNS Sport at the Fortune Vital Concept press conference in Saint Lo ahead of the Tour De France, McLay, who was brought up in Leicester, said: "I've not thought too much about being the Midlands representative in the race but if my legs are good I will see where I am and challenge for the sprints.
" If I am doing everything 100 percent what will be will be."
