Warwickshire County Cricket Club had their best day with the bat for a fortnight on the opening day of their County Championship game with Worcestershire at Edgbaston.
Warwicks won the toss and elected to bat and had made 36 when Varun Chopra was caught by Richardson for 16 in the seventh over.
Will Porterfield added 21 before he was out lbw and then Ian Bell who had hit five fours was also out lbw after making 34.
Jon Trott went for seven and Darren Maddy for nine leaving Warwicks on 99-5 but enter Mohammad Yousuf and Rikki Clarke who put on 108 before Clarke was out for 56 from 96 balls including two sixes.
Yousuf batted on with Tim Ambrose, completing his century and ending the day 108 not out as Warwicks ended the day on 299-6.
