Romain Hardy has signed a 1 year deal with Fortuneo Vital Concept.
He joins a team he knows well have raced for them three years ago before joining Cofidis.
Currently 22th overall in the Vuelta, the climber-puncher will be particularly expected in the mountains to support the leaders.
Romain Hardy said: "I spent three good years with Bretagne-Schuller, I had a good feeling with Manu Hubert and his staff. I want to work with them again. To do my job, I need to feel good in the team, I know this will be the case in Fortuneo Vital Concept. The racing department is located 10 kilometers from my home, I am very close and friends with Armindo Fonseca is a real pleasure to return to the Breton team. For a runner, his first training is often the formation of heart, we are happy to return. The team has changed since I left. The race calendar is more interesting, I think especially in Paris-Nice, the Tour de France but also the Ardennes close to my heart. The team can count on me to help leaders in the mountains. I of course followed the recruitment. Good runners have joined the team, I'm happy to be part of this adventure. "
Fortuneo Vital Concept's squad for 2017 is Franck Bonnamour, Maxime Bouet, Anthony Delaplace, Armindo Fonseca, Elie Gesbert, Romain Hardy, Benoit Jarrier, Arnold Jeannesson, Kevin Ledanois, Daniel McLay, Gianni Meersman, Pierre-Luc Périchon, Laurent Pichon, Eduardo Sepulveda, Florian Vachon and Boris Vallée.
