Peter Sagan has won the 2016 UCI World Tour championship.
Sagan earned 669 points to finish sixty ahead of Nairo Quintana of Movistar with Chris Froome of Team Sky in third on 564 points with Ireland's Dan Martin in ninth with 280 points.
As for the rest of the British riders Adam Yates of Orica-BikeExchange finished 30th with 144 points, Geraint Thomas was 36th, Ian Stannard was 37th, Simon Yates was 50th with Ben Swift 53rd, Mark Cavendish 66th, Luke Rowe, 84th, Steve Cummings 97th, Alex Dowsett 171st and Adam Blythe 216th.
Movistar picked up the World Tour team award with 1475 points ahead of soon to be disbanded Tinkoff who scored 1361 points and Team Sky who amassed 1187 points.
Great Britiain was third in the National Rankings with 1050 points. They were beaten by winners Spain with 1475 and Colombia with 1446.
