Warwickshire County Cricket Club won their second County Championship game of the season with a five wicket win over Lancashire.
Day Four at Aigburth saw Lancs resume on 44-4 but they were up against the bowling of Keith Barker and Jeetan Patel who tore into the home side both taking five wickets apiece.
Only Ashwell Prince who made 51 offered any resistance from a Lancashire side which was all out for 148.
That left Warwicks just seventy runs to win. Yet again, the batsman got the jitters. Varun Chopra went for one and Ian Bell made a quick sixteen before he was caught by Prince.
Then Neil Carter went for 15, Jim Troughton for two and Darren Maddy for a single to leave Warwicks on 52-5.
Will Porterfield (Not Out 22) and Tim Ambrose (Not Out 11), took command and steered Warwicks to a five wicket win.
